
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 551 invites the community to a free outdoor event to say thank you to Veterans, Military Members, and First Responders during this year’s Red Friday Celebration.

- Ceremonies begin at 5:00 pm.
The Red Friday tradition invites guests to wear red to show their support and appreciation for veterans, active military members, first responders, and their families.
Waterdown Museum of Hope Partnership – Open June 4-6 for Semester 2 Museum Experience
As part of this collaboration, the Waterdown Museum of Hope will be open to visitors, with the Semester 2 Museum Experience coinciding with Red Friday. Student docents from Waterdown District High School will present new displays and share personal stories of remembrance, service, and hope.
Exhibits explore global and Canadian perspectives on service and conflict, including apartheid-era South Africa, post-communist Bulgaria, Indigenous veterans, women in wartime, Vimy Ridge, early Chinese immigration, and Second World War personal stories.
