Community Invited to Commemorative European Tour Marking the 110th Anniversary of Vimy Ridge.

Students, families, educators, and community members are invited to join an educational tour of France, Belgium, and the Netherlands in April 2027 to commemorate the 110th Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge.

Participants will visit iconic Canadian First and Second World War sites, including Juno Beach, the Canadian National Vimy Memorial, and the battlefields, cemeteries, and memorials where Canadians served and sacrificed. The tour offers a unique opportunity to experience history firsthand while exploring themes of remembrance, leadership, citizenship, and service.

Open to all ages, the program provides a meaningful multi-generational experience that transforms history from textbook lessons into lasting memories. By walking the same ground as those who shaped Canada's history, participants will gain a deeper appreciation of the sacrifices that helped define our nation.

An information session will be held for anyone interested in learning more.
Date: Wednesday, 23 September
Time: 6:30–7:30 pm
Location: Royal Canadian Legion Branch 551 Waterdown, 79 Hamilton St N, Hamilton, ON L0R 2H0

Attendees will receive details about the itinerary, costs, registration, and fundraising opportunities, with time available to ask questions.

If you can attend in person, please RSVP to [email protected]. If you cannot attend in person, please RSVP to receive the meeting link to join virtually.
